Biden Needs to Step Aside

There is no dishonor in recognizing one's limitations

Bill Astore    March 6, 2024

This morning, I happened to catch a video of President Biden that honestly made me sad. In it, he says “I’d better not start the questions, I’ll get in trouble,” after which he looks around, appearing to be somewhat lost as well as fatigued. Judge for yourself:

Who is the President of the United States going to get in trouble with? His handlers, I suppose, who’ve been telling him not to engage with reporters and to avoid unscripted responses. You can hear a staffer shouting in the background, trying to end the event and silence the reporters.

There is no dishonor in recognizing one’s limitations. Biden needs to step aside. He lacks the vigor and mental clarity to serve as president for another four years.

Democrats may argue he’s the only man standing between us and “the end of democracy” under Donald Trump. If Biden is America’s last best hope for democracy, well, I’m at a loss for words.

By the way, I like the way “Forbes Breaking News” dismisses Biden’s fatigue and confusion as a “joke.” Apparently, we’re supposed to believe Biden was just joshing here, kidding around, having fun. Again, believe us, not your lying eyes.

Standard Disclaimer: This is not an argument for Trump. Trump is not a public servant and he never will be. It is contrary to his nature.
